Join us to learn about the 2019 VPDES Permit

On May 23, Wetland Studies and Solutions (WSSI) will host the 2019 MAC-IECA Roadshow at our Gainesville, Virginia headquarters.  The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (MAC-IECA) is sponsoring this event to promote continuity across the industry in understanding and implementing stormwater management Best Management Practices (BMPs) to meet permit requirements.

Join us to learn about the new 2019 VPDES Permit and discuss the implications of the permit statewide.  The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Office of Stormwater Management will present the latest information and will be available to answer questions, and our panel will include local Virginia Stormwater Management Program (VSMP) authorities from Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun counties.  We will also update attendees on the current state of the ever-changing WOTUS rule, and learn more about Virginia stormwater management regulations and the BMP Clearinghouse.

As part of this seminar, attendees will learn more about stormwater management and other innovations at our Gainesville office, which was the first Gold-certified building in Virginia under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.  We will review our onsite Low Impact Development (LID) and LEED practices in the classroom before setting out on a walking tour at the close of the day to observe these BMPs in action.

If you're not able to be in Gainesville on May 23, you can join us via our webcast!
