WSSI’s architectural historians work with our archeologists, GIS specialists, and other professionals to provide a full range of cultural resource services from regulatory compliance investigations to preservation planning studies. Our clients range from government agencies to private developers, seeking expertise and guidance on local, state, and federal regulations and incentives. With extensive experience in urban, suburban, and rural areas, our architectural historians possess expertise in the identification, evaluation, management, and interpretation of vernacular and high-style architecture, infrastructure, public art and memorials, historic districts, and cultural and designed landscapes, dating from the colonial period to the recent past. They also possess expertise in local planning and zoning and surpass the Secretary of Interior’s Professional Standards for Architectural Historians and Historians.
